In the article How Can You Create Fiction When Reality Comes to Call by Carolyn Chute, she writes about her average life, and also how tough it is to write when surroundings things create distractions that prevent you from focusing on the writing process. When it comes to essays or research papers, student usually wait until the last minute to start or finish the assignment. All thanks to social media, the greatest distraction of all times. Nowadays, people can’t live without a piece of technology in their hands. They go on social media millions of times per day. This causes them to forget what’s really important and ignore the future consequences. In addition, family members can be a distraction that would interrupt the process of their writing things such as playing unpleasant music loudly or children running and screaming around can distract one from focusing on writing. Therefore, I have listed six ways to make my process of writing more precise. From which I have read in 6 Ways to Be a Hemingway-Level Productive Badass by Drake Baer. The author describes his 6 ways to be a better writer which I found its useful. First, I write at night when everyone has fell asleep. Second, I would find a peaceful spot with nobody in it, so I wouldn’t get distracted by them. Third, I wear a pair of headphones with a maximum volume with instrumental music so I would not hear anything around me. Fourth, I observe everything that surround me so ideas would jump inside my head. Fifth, I listed everything that could stem from a specific topic, and then I would organize it later. Lastly, I bring my rough draft to the learning commons center, which I could get some help from the tutors.
